Austrian Mission: Bringing the Heart of God into the Heart of Europe

Then he said to his disciples,
"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
(Matthew 9:37-38)

Full Description:
Serve as a short-term (or long-term) mission worker with an Austrian Congregation in partnership with and alongside a long-term mission worker who will assist you in using your abilities and gifts in the mission field. Build friendships with Austrians through Evangelism, Discipleship and other outreaches (such as but not limited to child-care, home-schooling, film or radio production, praise & worship, etc....).

A short term mission worker is a volunteer who has a teachable spirit, is a willing servant, a committed believer of any age, and is usually not making a second career decision, but for a short time stepping out of a career path to serve God’s Great Commission. Short-term mission workers often serve alongside career mission workers in order to help each other. Others go out on specialized teams or select projects. Some are able to take off a few months or semester from work or university; others use their holiday to serve as a mission worker.

While serving in this short-term mission, you will make a local congregation your own spiritual family. You will encourage the body of Messiah through evangelism outreach, follow-up with new believers, and fellowship with congregation members.

In addition, you will continue your quest to grow deeper in your relationship with God the Father, as you spend quality time praying and giving thanks for those who need to hear and understand and receive the message of Salvation. You will focus on Jesus the Messiah in the Power of the Holy Spirit through personal devotions, small group interactions, and working alongside a local leader.

While staying in Austria, you will minister with your evangelistic team in the streets, neighbourhoods and communities of your appointed location. As a result of visiting these communities, you will begin to develop any one or more of the following:

1. an Apostolic desire to serve Our Father in Heaven,
2. a Prophetic compassion for those who are confused and without a shepherd,
3. an Evangelistic love to minister to the lost and perishing for the cause of the Messiah,
4. a Pastoral care for new and old believers alike, and
5. a Teaching spirit fleshed-out in your daily living in the power of the Holy Spirit.
